ICONS: Greggio lay plates collection

Having a beautiful table is not just a delight for the eyes; it is also the pleasure of receiving an invitation, it is an homage to friendship, it is what makes a gathering more enjoyable, and it is a moment that is significant. The art of setting the table demands sensitivity, imagination, and a sense of aesthetics so that it may be done well. The manner in which a table is arranged may have a significant influence on the whole dining experience, producing an inviting and sophisticated ambiance that visitors can take pleasure in. A dinner can be elevated from the mundane to the remarkable by paying careful attention to the arrangement of the dishes, silverware, and decorations arranged on the table.

For this reason, when it comes to dinners or important events, an essential element is the silver charger plate: from Michelin starred restaurants to gatherings with esteemed guests, the silver charger plays a pivotal role in enhancing the classic table, providing not only an elegant touch but also a distinctive brilliance.

Let's see some pieces handcrafted by Greggio artisans:

In this case we have "Le Perle" Charger plate 30,5 cm with its combined bread plate creating a very classy table

"Varennes" is the most exquisite collection, reminiscent of an invitation to a grand banquet hosted by a Royal household.

For a more informal dinner, you can choose different collections like "Medici" changer plate, "Villa Carlotta" or the evergreen "700" like we did for Ferretti Group event in 2023

Chargers are an essential part of any table arrangement since they show where the commensals should be placed.  It is not by chance that the word "plate" is used as a placeholder for the enormous disk—typically made of silver—that sits beneath the Porcelain plate at formal dinners.  The other guests' positions are measured from here, and the cutlery and glasses are set around it.  A soup bowl or cup for the consommé or appetiser plate comes next, with plates spaced evenly apart.  On the upper left side of each dinner dish, there is a small plate for bread.
