Visiting Italian companies and their novelties! part 1
A Visit to Le Coq Porcelaine: Where Elegance Meets Innovation in Tableware
Our recent visit to their elegant showroom was a delightful immersion into the world of fine porcelain designed specifically for the hospitality industry. Branded under "Hotellerie," their latest collections reflect not only aesthetic excellence, but also practical sophistication meant for professional use.
From the moment we stepped in, we were greeted by a warm display table, displaying almost all their collections.
Visiting Le Coq Porcelaine’s showroom was like stepping into a quiet conversation between tradition and innovation. Every piece told a story of fine craftsmanship, deliberate design, and the pursuit of elegance. Whether you’re a hotelier, restaurateur, or design enthusiast, this is a destination that inspires not just how we serve food, but how we elevate the everyday act of gathering at the table.
After visiting Le Coq, we headed to Lamperti Tessiture!
A Woven Legacy: Visiting the Tessiture Carlo Lamperti Showroom in Italy
In a world dominated by fast fashion and automated production, stepping into the Tessiture Carlo Lamperti showroom feels like crossing a threshold into a different era, one where craft, tradition, and elegance still reign supreme.
Founded in 1861, this historic Italian textile house has been weaving high-quality fabrics for over a century and a half. My recent visit to their showroom offered a rare glimpse into the heart of this legacy.
The visit began with a beautiful display, a miniature wooden loom, meticulously detailed and still threaded with fabric. Its striped orange and white textile echoed the patterns that are a hallmark of Lamperti’s woven goods. The loom wasn’t just a charming exhibit, it was a tribute to the mechanical artistry and precision that underpins textile production, both past and present.
One of the most striking impressions came from a simple embroidered patch on one of the linens: CARLO LAMPERTI - EST 1861
It served as a quiet but firm declaration of heritage. Each piece carries with it not just the brand's name but its enduring values: quality, tradition, and passion.
Visiting Tessiture Carlo Lamperti isn’t just about buying textiles; it’s about connecting to a legacy. Whether you're laying their linen across your dinner table or simply admiring the artisan quality of their work, you become part of a tradition that spans generations.
In a single thread, they weave beauty, warmth, and history. And in each finished piece, you feel the echo of a loom still humming with purpose.
As a last visit, we went to Best In Table which recently moved to a new prime location venue!
A Morning at BIT: Where Sustainability Meets Italian Elegance
Tucked into a serene and beautifully designed office in Lecco, BIT – Best In Table – is more than just a manufacturer of napkins. It's a shining example of how sustainability can live side-by-side with style, functionality, and impeccable design. We recently had the chance to visit their headquarters and see firsthand what makes this brand stand out in the world of sustainable tableware.
Walking into the BIT meeting room, the atmosphere was instantly inviting. Sleek, minimalist design with warm wooden cabinetry and a sophisticated chevron parquet floor set the tone. Natural light filtered through the elegant arched window, and shelves lined with neatly organized archives hinted at years of dedication to excellence. This was clearly a place where every detail matters, and that philosophy carries through to their products.
Over coffee and fresh croissants, we got to experience BIT’s flagship product: their bio bamboo napkins. These are no ordinary napkins. Crafted from bamboo fiber, they are:
-
Biodegradable – breaking down naturally with minimal environmental impact.
-
Compostable – returning to the earth without a trace.
-
Sustainably Sourced – made from fast-growing bamboo, one of the most eco-friendly raw materials on the planet.
And despite their green credentials, these napkins don’t compromise on quality. The texture is soft yet durable, and the presentation, minimalist, elegant, and clearly high-end aligns perfectly with fine dining and upscale hospitality needs.
Visiting BIT was a reminder that sustainability doesn't have to be rustic or utilitarian; it can be chic, refined, and deeply intentional. If you’re looking for a way to elevate your table while lowering your environmental impact, BIT’s bio bamboo napkins are a beautiful and responsible choice.
Whether you're a hospitality professional, a business owner, or someone who simply cares about the planet, BIT is a brand worth knowing.
